Aleshia Johnson

Aleshia Johnson is a member of the WCC's ECHOS Commission on Youth and of the international reference group for the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace. She is a law student in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Aleshia is of Caribbean (Bahamas) and Indigenous descent. Her aboriginal heritage is with the Six Nations of the Grand River in Ohsweken, Ontario. She is from the Mohawk tribe and Turtle Clan respectively. Aleshia holds an honours Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree of Philosophy from Tyndale University. Her interests include photography, reading, French language and culture, as well as fitness. She has a fervent passion for learning about the law and the public interest, especially that which pertains to Indigenous and women's rights.
