Jennifer P. Martin

Jennifer P. Martin, from the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, serves on the WCC Commission for World Mission and Evangelism and as co-moderator of the international reference group for the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace.

Ms Martin is a former vice president of the International University of the Caribbean which is owned and operated by the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

In January of 2015 she took up the post of Education in Mission secretary at the Caribbean and North America Council for Mission (CANACOM).

In a career which has spanned many years she has worked as a classroom teacher and manager in the education system both in Jamaica and England. She has taken an active part in the life of her community and continues to serve on the Board of the Mannings Hill Primary School.

Ms Martin loves people and is always very willing to say a word for the Lord.

She is an elder at the Mannings Hill United Church and serves with Rev. Ranford Hewitt in the Salisbury/ Oberlin /Mannings Hill Charge of Churches where she preaches along with other duties.

She is married to Dr Paul Martin. They are the parents of two adults and grandparents of two little boys.
